Nothing can replace in-person practice time with your team. With practice time at an all-time low, it is even more valuable. During practice, your players can get distracted and won't remember everything taught by the coaching staff.
You might print out your playbook and ask players to study it or watch film. Honestly, those old school teaching methods don't work very well with today's players. Even if they read over or watch it, most won't learn it.
When your players don't know the playbook or game plan, there is a good chance they will be out of position. If that happens at the wrong time, possessions and games are lost.
Your primary role as a coach is to put your team in a position to win. When you can't win, the coach's job stability and team's confidence suffer.
Some teams spend over half of their practices reviewing existing or installing new plays. Spending even 1 hour during your weekday practices adds up to 20 hours a month!
What if you could assign your players interactive training to complete outside of practice?
What if you could take your film clips, draw and talk over them, insert interactive questions, assign the clip to players, and track who completed it correctly?
No more spending hours going over and over the same plays hoping your team remembers them on game day.
What if you could turn your playbook into a mobile training library that truly prepared your team for game days AND saved you hours during practice?
"KNOWING WHICH PLAYERS NEED HELP WITH PLAYS IS GOING TO MAKE PRACTICE GO A LOT FASTER!"
- Darryl Arender (Knoxville, TN)
"GIVING OUR COACHING STAFF THE ABILITY TO CREATE AND ASSIGN PLAYBOOK TRAINING TO OUR PLAYERS WOULD GIVE US A DEFINITE EDGE ABOVE OUR OPPONENTS."
- Tony Braden (Knoxville, TN)
Throughout my time playing sports, coaches would have us practice plays over and over again for hours. Even with that practice, somehow people still didn't know the plays. Towards the end of a game against our archrival, we messed up a play because of it and that ended up costing us the game (and yes, I still remember that game to this day).
Years later, I realized the major problem with athletic training was that players don't have a good way to learn plays or game plans. Studying printed or even digital playbooks is the norm for most teams but, that doesn't work well with today's players. It also doesn't provide a way to study situational training. Coaches spend hours teaching plays when, if given to players in the proper format, could be learned by the players on their own.
We created Playbook Trainer so that coaches could teach in ways players can actually learn. Old school techniques are not effective with today's athletes. Times have changed.
The Playbook Trainer platform equips your coaches with tools to easily teach your team away from the field. You will see their progress and you will save your team hours of valuable practice time. Those hours can then be spent in other areas of player development.
Our team wants you to win and have confidence that your team is prepared.
We would love to hear from you!
